Optimal control of rigid body reorientation: closed form solution and
synthesis
We consider a problem of fuel - optimal control by means of reactive
engines for a special class of the attitude maneuvers. The steady
rotation of a rigid body (spacecraft) is changing in the inertial
frame with unconstrained time and the state constraint imposed on the
module of angular velocity. This constraint means that the artificial
gravity continue to exist during the time of maneuvering. In the
connected frame of the rotating body only small disturbances are
applied and the rotation remained steady. The problem is solved by
using the sufficient Bellman - Krotov conditions and the closed form
solution as well as Bellman - Krotov functions are found. These
functions have different form for the different state domains that
also are determined.
