ProjectiveHilbertPolynomial -- the class of all Hilbert polynomials expressed in terms of the Hilbert polynomials of projective space.

Functions which produce projective Hilbert polynomials:

    • Functions on projective Hilbert polynomials:

  • diff -- compute the difference polynomial P(n)-P(n-1).
  • degree -- degree of a projective Hilbert polynomial
  • dim -- dimension of a projective Hilbert polynomial
  • euler -- compute the Euler characteristic P(0)
  • + -- add two projective Hilbert polynomials
  • - -- subtract two projective Hilbert polynomials
  • * -- multiply a projective Hilbert polynomial by an integer
  • P(n) -- evaluate a projective Hilbert polynomial at an integer

    • The functions degree and dim are designed so they correspond the degree and dimension of the algebraic variety that may have been used to produce the Hilbert polynomial.
