Call for posters

Registered participants will have the opportunity to present their mathematical work in the form of a contributed paper (poster). Decisions regarding acceptance will be made by the Organizing Committee on the basis of an abstract of the poster.

The Organizers understand that some participants of the Congress might have the possibility of obtaining local funding if their posters are accepted. In order to speed up the process of acceptance, the organizers have decided on the following:

Abstracts submitted before February 15, 2004, will be considered by the committee and notification of its decision will be sent out before February 25, 2004. Alternatively, acceptance of abstracts submitted before April 20, 2004, will be notified before May 1, 2004.

Abstracts submitted after April 20, 2004, will not be considered.

Accepted posters will be grouped according to subject. Authors will be asked to be present and available for questions and discussions during a specified period (yet to be determined). Abstracts of accepted posters will be available through the Congress web site after the authors have confirmed their registration.

Authors of posters are encouraged to prepare their material thoroughly. Their contribution to the success of the Congress is greatly appreciated. A poster should be displayed on some flat material, usually hard paper or cardboard, of A0 size, which is 84 cm (width) by 118 cm (height).

It should present the main points of a mathematical work in a synthetic form that can be quickly grasped by other mathematicians.

Posters will be affixed to ad-hoc vertical panels.
Authors should prepare the material forming their posters in advance. Sticking tape will be provided by the organizers so that the authors can attach their displays to the panels.

Registered participants presenting accepted posters will receive more information concerning the precise exhibition place and time of their posters upon arrival to the Congress.
