Optimization and Systems Theory

Master's Programme in Mathematics

The Master’s Programme in mathematics is intended to provide broad competence in mathematics. Optimization and systems theory is one of the five specializations in the programme.

A specialization normally requires a student to complete at least 18 ECTS among the profile courses for the specialization. For the specialization of optimization and systems theory, this implies that one needs to take at least three of the following six courses:

  • SF2812 Applied Linear Optimization
  • SF2822 Applied Nonlinear Optimization
  • SF2832 Mathematical Systems Theory
  • SF2842 Geometric Control Theory
  • SF2852 Optimal Control Theory
  • SF2863 Systems Engineering
