Titel: On the coverage time of a point in a one-dimensional growth process. (Examensarbete)
Sammanfattning:
At random times seeds are born on the real line. Once a seed is born, it immediately generates a cell by growing in both directions with random speed. The space occupied by cells is regarded as covered. Cells and new seeds continue to grow and form, respectively, only in uncovered parts of the real line. In this paper the random time until a point is covered is studied analytically, numerically and by simulation.
