Titel: Percolation and ferromagnetism on Z2
Sammanfattning:
Over the last couple of decades, it has become increasingly clear that there are important connections between percolation theory on one hand, and Gibbsian statistical mechanics on the other. Phase transition in a Gibbs system (such as the Ising model) can often be related in one way or another to the existence of an infinite cluster in some related percolation model. Often, sharper results can be obtained in two dimensions than in higher. This talk will focus on percolation properties of the ferromagnetic Ising model (and some related models) in two dimensions. We shall try to describe the models and the results in an intuitive way, and "from scratch", so that no particular prerequisites will be needed in order to follow the talk.
