Please hand in your solution to the problems at the lecture on the stated due date.
You may also send them by regular mail or email.
You may not cooperate on the problems.
It should be your own solution you hand in.

Grades: The above for set of hand-in-problems and the oral presentations at the end of the course will give you points.
To get an A on the course you will need at least 80% of maximum points. To get an E you need at least 50%. The cut off for the intermediate grades are set linearly.
For Pass as a PhD-course you need to do also the fith set of hand-in-problems and have at least 67% of the total credit.

On the last three lectures all students will present a text on polytope theory.
I suggest you team up in pairs and pick a text to present.
Below is a list of possible texts, but you may suggest a different text.

Chapter 6 on Gale diagrams in the text book.
Chapter 7 on Zonotopes in the text book.
Chapter 9 on Fiber polytopes in the text book.
Erhart polynomials from e.g. this book by Beck and Robins.
Some topic from another text book on polytopes. E.g. "A course in convexity", by Alexander Barvinok, Grad. Stud. in Math. Vol 54, AMS.
Faces of Birkhoff polytopes, by Paffenholz.
The number of M-sequences and f-vectors, by Linusson.
The number of k-faces of a simple d-polytope, by Anders Björner and Linusson.
Realizations of the Associahedron and Cyclohedron, by Hohlweg and Lange.
Facets in the crossing number polytope, by Chimani.
